Today Im excited to announce the winner of the Giving Is Awesome photography gift valued at over $400. I had many worthy entries but as soon as I read the submission from Stephanie Myles my heart had made its decision and here is that submission.

Hi Amanda

My name is Stephanie Myles and I just finished browsing through your website. Love your work!!! I was reading your blog when I came across your photo contest and I have a family that I would like to nominate. Duane and Peggy (Myles) Whitt and children Jeremy (17)Senior at GEHS and Hope (14)freshman at GEHS.

Approx. 14/15 years ago Peggy (49) was diagnosed with MS and after many years of battling this illness she is then diagnosed with lung cancer which they believe may have been caused by some of the MS medications. She underwent aggressive radiation and chemo treatments, and just when things were starting to look a little brighter doctors had told her the cancer was gone well they were wrong. It came back as a brain tumor, so she underwent surgery and radiation and chemo treatments again. this time it affected her vision and equalibrium. after a few months and thinking maybe this time they got it all, wrong again; a tumor returned in her brain, around Oct 15 she underwent laser surgery at Morgantown an outpatient procedure and assured again they got it all. Guess what; WRONG AGAIN !!! approx. 1 month ago she has now been told that the cancer is back in both lungs. This woman and her family have been through more than any one should have to go through. She has decided not to undergo treatment and to put it in the LORDS Hands. I admire her strength and courage so much and my heart aches for them all and if giving the family a gift that will last a lifetime; than I hope that you will consider this family worthy..
