Schools Out For Summer!

Sleeping in, catching fireflies. The things I loved at the tender age of 6 now to be enjoyed by my daughter. She starts her day early rising with the sun. She scampers about the bedroom and finds her way to the sweet spot. You know the one, the crook of her dads arm, facing me as she plays with my hair and falls back to sleep. I will remember these days just as I remember my sweet spot of days gone by. The cookouts, visiting relatives and yes the dog days of summer but all to soon they will escape us like the sweet dreams of our youth but I will always have the pictures.
